During a camping trip with our brand new 5th wheel, we were returning home when the check trailer wiring warning light would beep. We had an additional 3 hours before arriving back home. We stopped several to check the connections on the truck. The warning alarm kept beeping every 5 to 10 SECONDS. Over 3 hours of hearing that noise.
Suggestion: The connector should be mounted where the locking pin is on the top for more secure connection and also so no water can be trapped on the cover and connector. Plus make sure the receptacle is more stationary, the receptacle should not move when you connect or disconnect a cable.
