8 Months after a repair that cost me >$8500 (replaced blown turbo's) Audi announced an extended warranty to cover the turbos for 10 years or 100k miles. When I contacted Audi they said they would not reimburse any of my costs because the work was not done at an Audi dealership. Now Audi just announced the Safety Recall 21H7 - Oil Strainer (a known cause of Turbo failure on 4.0T engines). The paperwork indicates that Audi will reimburse if oil strainer has already been replaced. I however expect that Audi again will refuse to pay since it was not one of their dealerships that completed the work.
I am again going to call and complain and try to get some of my money back... it's too bad as we currently have 2 different Audi's and have purchased 3 in the past 10 years... looks like I should change to another brand; maybe BMW's from now on?

Class action anyone?
