problem #1

Dec 192014

Sonoma LS 2.2L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 180,000 miles

Was driving on the highway when all of a sudden pools of smoke start pouring out from behind me. I pull over and transmission fluid was spilled all over the ground. Had to get it towed home. The transmission line fitting has a steel retaining clip. When this clip rusts away, the line will pop right out and leave you stranded. This not only happened once. It happened again several months later. That time however, I was prepared and had fixed the fitting on the side of the highway and nursed it home.
