I only had my car for just about one year. The check engine light ended up coming on and I found that the catalytic converter was the culprit. No matter what I do this sensor comes on. Now here recently, the light to check the airbag system has come on. I have once before checked to see if there were any recalls on this vehicle, but there supposedly were none, yet I see so many complaints about the same issues that I am having on top of the defrost system being no good. This car has cost me more than it is worth and selling it would just leave me with nothing because I still owe on it. I need fixes and answers before this thing ends up in flames which is what I fear each day I drive it. This began in August of last year and now I am getting scared for my life.

Takata recall - bought vehicle used, in past 2 years have gone to start truck an it stutters when trying to turn ignition over.all lights on dash flash and upon starting a 2nd time engine light comes on. I work in auto collision industry and read with my scan tool. Every time its listed as faulty start.didn't think any major wrong, till I rear ended someone at about 35 direct hit. I hit my chest hard on steering wheel & have wanted to get rid of truck since. I knew the bags should've deployed an felt unsafe since they did not. No recall listed, but then I saw cobalt major recall and it seems identical to my vehicles issue. Contacted GMC to fix, not covered. But since we do so much business and it seems connected they will be repairing tomorrow however cobalts recall requires. Unfortunately others might not be so lucky as I.

The airbag indicator on the dash along with the warning "ding ding ding" goes off constantly. I am concerned there is something wrong with the airbags. I would like to know the manufacturer of the airbags and I would like to know if those airbags are being recalled in other vehicles. I bought this vehicle used in April of 2015.

We started the car and went to take off and our airbag signal light started flashing and beeping. Once we got home and parked it, the light went off. Well about a month later while driving to ct from fl the dinging and flashing light started again. And stayed on from about va to ct. It had since went off and now comes on and off often. And on our way home our windshield wiper was not working properly. As if it had to have a rest period. (not an option in the rain, on the highway).

While driving my 2010 Terrain, my service airbag light repeatedly came on.I took it to the GMC dealership for repairs, I was told the airbag connector wires were defective. This is the statement the dealership put on my repair invoice : diagnostics.& history code B0014.found document # 2601877.suggest following this document before doing anything else.more may be needed but this is a place to start.replace airbag connector ends and terminals on both front seats.as described in doc. #26011877. More work may be needed.this could be a starting point...what a statement to make, when it comes to a safety issue which cost $359.58 to repair.the defect was in the installation & the wiring of the connectors install in the vehicle. As stated above GMC knew this problem existed according the code B0014 & doc.#26011877 supplied to the dealerships.

Involved in a 21 car pile up in the upper peninsula during a complete white out. We were only traveling approximately 25 miles per hour but, we did have serious impact in the front, after hitting a trailer and also serious impact from behind when hit by a truck and trailer. No airbags deployed. The truck traveling ahead of us, that we hit, the airbags did deploy. My father and brother, who were also both driving Chevy trucks, and also had serious front end damage during the same accident, their airbags did not deploy either.

  • 20,450 miles
I started receiving a warning to service passenger air bag whenever my oldest son sat in passenger seat. It did not occur whenever anyone else sat in the seat so I did not immediately act upon warning light/buzzer. Recently I had a problem with the air conditioning compressor, so when brought to the dealer, they found a bad electrical sensor connector under the passenger seat that was only activated when my son's weight was in the seat. A heavier person closed the connector circuit, a lighter person was not registering in the seat. If an accident had occurred, a passenger air bag malfunction could have occurred with serious consequences.
