Driving to work 55 miles away from home in a thunderstorm. Get close and there is a wreck so I have to take a back road that I don't know well, but well enough to know it exists. So, I take it to try to make it to work on time. When I say back road I mean back road! No, guard rails, hills, winding curves and with the torrential rains from the storm I am going down a winding hill with my wipers on the highest speed to be able to see and they just stop. I have to stick my arm out my window since they stopped upright closest to my window, thank God! And move them enough so that I could see and slow my speed significantly. Took me extra time to get to work and I was soaked. Now I am wondering how I am going to get 55 miles home. They will move in tandem if I move them very easily. This makes no sense at all. My visual with the amount of water on my windshield was impossible to see. If I was on an interstate I would have wrecked! This needs to be addressed, from looking at the complaints this is an ongoing issue!

Purchased car new and right from the start I was having problems with the wipers. Too much chaffing, rubbing, and skipping. Loud enough to be a total driving distraction hazard. I complained to the ho hum attendant but I think he already knew about this problem. Another customer near the service desk said the same thing about her wipers. Wipers should last a few years but after about 1 1/2 years and some

oil changes I asked for a new set and they were magic smooth! Cost was 20 Canadian.

My mother bought a new Impala from the same dealer and again with the wipers! I went with her the very next day and demanded new wipers at no cost because her 1 year time was just a few days to go. We got them and what do you know? Smooth as could be!

Shame on GM for putting low grade wipers on their brand new vehicles! This is GM Canada.
