General Motors Corporation has failed to remedy, in a timely manner, a known safety-related defect and, therefore, remains in non-compliance to a federal motor vehicle safety standard, a violation, in part, to S10.15.6 of FMVSS No. 108. Failure to remedy this defect increases the risk of a crash, and could lead to the death of a driver and/or passenger and/or pedestrian. Expecting owners/operators of affected vehicles to exercise patience is an unreasonable expectation, given the risk involved.
