While driving in a snowstorm today (Feb 6, 2020), the wipers stopped working. I can still hear the motor running, but no movement. Lucky that I was able to pull over, and get to a gas station to wipe the salt/snow off, then take back roads to make it home. It was very dangerous, and could have been a lot worse. I read online that there are recalls on this, and am taking it to the dealership in the morning.

This was only the first time that the wipers stopped working. It happened 2 more times before I replaced the whole motor and arms.

This has happened twice now during snowstorms. This is extremely dangerous and made my Terrain undrivable. Now the wipers do not even work and am not able to drive it in snowy weather due to salty road water splashing in windshield which creates a solid opaque film which needs to be removed with washer fluid, but since that died, I can't drive the vehicle.

While driving during rain, the wipers stopped working. I had to pull to the side of the road and manually place the wipers in the down position. I researched this issue with the Terrain and it is a known problem, though no recall issued for the 2014 model. $500 to replace a windshield wiper transmission.
