Terrain SLE 2.4L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 112,000 miles

Got oil changed ever 2,500 to 3,000 miles. The damn thing seized. Most unreliable car and of course a warranty wouldn’t cover it. Had to put a used engine in as I couldn’t afford a new one.

Changed vehicle oil every 3-5k miles.

Driving and car stalled.

Had it towed to repair shop diagnosed with engine replacement for endurance warranty to fix.

Warranty won't cover it due to oil consumption.

Terrain SLE2 2.4L S4

It started out just being annoying to have to put a quart in between oil changes, but now that I'm up to 180k miles it's become extremely excessive and expensive to keep oil in it. I am having to add a quart in less than 500 miles or 3 quarts every 1000. This is freaking stupid. And to top it off my fuel mileage has plummeted to 15 miles to the gallon.

Car was knocking and stalling. Took it back to the dealer and couldn't get any paperwork or answer to what was wrong or fixed. Picked it up and problem still occurred. Checked the oil and it was completely dry. Went and had oil changed and it seemed fine. 3 days later and oil is gone already but no visible leaks at all.
