Yukon SLT 5.7L

I had this third brake light burn out 5 times since the purchase of the vehicle new . the warranty and then the extented warrany has been covering the problem. I have noticed a lot of Yukons and Tahoes in the same year span with the same problem with the light being out . Gmc should look into this matter because this is suppose to be a safety device that stops rear end accidents . could this be a recall item does any one else have the same problems.
