Yukon 8-cyl

I had driven my Yukon for roughly a year when the passenger side rear glass hinge broke. It caused a leak and I have been in fear of the back glass coming loose or breaking during driving. My research has led me to several stories of the same problem leaving glass on roads, carwashes, and even on following vehicles, causing damage. GM expects me to pay over $1000 to replace the glass. A redesigned glass which leads me to believe they know of the problem and refuse to help fix it.
