So here I go again about more sh*tty GM vehicles. I did all the research on why I was feeling knocking in my steering wheel while going around corners or any kind of light steering. Finally found, yet another prime example of sh*tty GM quality. Apparently it has been a problem for a DECADE in ALL OF THE FULL SIZE TRUCKS. Do those IDIOTS ever think about quality control? Their original fix was to pull the steering shaft apart and to regrease it. Only to happen again after a few thousand miles. Finally after 10 years, they decided to upgrade their steering shaft. Of course the dealership next to me wanted to bend me over and not use any kind of lube at all. The dealership 25 miles away quoted me half of the other dealers quote. None of course was covered under warranty. Ok so its not a safety factor, nothing will break or make you loose control, but you try driving a vehicle where it feels like someone is hammering away at the steering shaft, I tried to ignore it for 8 months, but it drives you crazy. It just eats away at your nerves until I couldn't take it anymore.
