This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your GMC dealer.
A vehicle with only 50,000 and less than 5 years old should not have a cracked dashboard! It seems as if the airbag mounted in the dashboard put pressure on the surrounding dashboard area creating a stress crack. This is my 7th Chevy/GMC truck and the only one to ever have this problem. we have a 2002 Chevy 2500 diesel with 150,000 miles on it and the dashboard is perfect. I am very disappointed in the lack of quality with my Yukon.

A 45k vehicle should never have this type of problem, and the worst thing is that its only replaced with another dashboard that will end up cracking again in 5 years, there needs to be a fix to the dashboard and not another faulty dash put back in.
Update from Nov 28, 2012: I heard that 2011+ model years wont have this problem.

Yesterday I noticed a crack in the dashboard running from the upper left corner of the passenger airbag cover to the front edge of the dash. The crack is about 2 inches long. The car has just over 49,000 miles.
I don't want to have to pay to have this fixed, but feel like it reduces the value considerably.
