Is this on a recall? Sounds like a very common complaint and I'm worried about air bag going off.

My dash has a huge crack over the driver side and a crack on the passenger side leading to the air bag. I'm sure that is a lawsuit waiting to happen when my air bag doesn't work properly. My Yukon has been garage kept so there is no reason to have this problem. My mom bought an 09 GMC truck and hers did the exact same thing. Will never buy a GMC product again. I have had so many different problems out of it.

I have a 2009 GMC Yukon. My complaint is just one of many thousands of others. CRACKED DASH. GM refuses to recall these cracked dashboards, although there are thousands of complaints. The crack is on the dashboard right where the airbag is. So my question is this, have they tested to see if deployment of the airbag would still be as it should? Also, when it does deploy, what will happen to the already cracked dash? Will it crack more, causing more debris to fly out the dash? Or due to the already damaged dashboard will the airbag explode due to being cut by the dashboard and then not serve it's purpose?

Cracked dashboard directly about the steering column. It's approximately 5 inches long. Concerned for my safety as I'm sure it will continue to crack. Was shocked when I saw it today...Not the quality I was expecting when I paid over $50, 000.

Dash cracked just above the passenger side airbag as reported by many others. Garage kept, and, I don't treat the dash as others have said GM blames for the problem (There's no point for this kind of cheap plastic anyway).

Yukon Denali V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 37,000 miles

Paid nearly $60,000 for GMC Yukon Denali and the dash cracked at 37,000 miles. GM won't replace it. would cost $1500 to replace. US taxpayers bail out GM and they repay the public by selling unreliable products. Owned an AUDI before and will absolutely go back to buying foreign....I highly recommend AUDI or any other foreign maker...they would have recalled and paid for something like this...
