problem #1

This car has an in-force car warranty thru ENDURANCE. The infamous AFM lifter knock started, and we shut the car off within 1/2 mile when we could get to a safe place. Car was towed to the local GMC dealership that we had purchased it from. Once the service manager contacted Endurance, they immediately requested the last 3 oil change receipts. This was unusual, since our previous warranty company fixed this same problem without hesitation. Within hours of sending in the receipts, our service advisor was told that the claim was denied for lack of verifiable maintenance (oil changes) since two of the 3 oil change receipts did not have the VIN number included. Despite the fact that the license plate, owner name, phone number, mileage, engine type, date, etc were included.

They would not accept the fact that I provided my own oil (100% synthetic Amsoil) for the changes that were done at or before the OLM intervals even with receipts for the oil and filters. When pressed for deniable maintenance examples, I was told that since I had changed the spark plugs at 100,000 miles instead of 156,000 and replaced the coolant system when I changed the radiator at about 148,000 miles instead of 240,000 miles that also violated the warranty! Clearly being conscientious and exercising good maintenance habits is frowned upon and voids the warranty. Unless you have computer documented proof (nothing handwritten) for every item on your car's maintenance schedule, you must avoid this company. Virtually everything advertised on TV and in their adds are misleading and false. You need to abide by every tiny condition in their contract and your vehicle maintenance schedule if you ever hope to have a repair covered. They are masters at finding ways to deny coverage and have no regard for their customers. STAY AWAY!!!!!
