This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your GMC dealer.
I had the vehicle a couple months and some of the pillar covers started to come loose. I took to dealership and they fixed under warranty. I asked them to replace all of them since I knew they were defective. They said they couldn't since they weren't loose. I now have 4 more loose that I have taped on and I'm very angry that I have to replace since truck is out of factory warranty! Never again GMC, never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would think if you paid $70,000 for a vehicle GM would stand behind this defect. All my 6 exterior window trims are falling off. Dealerships shrug their shoulders and shake their heads. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I noticed this in August 2017, 48,000 miles and have been looking for a solution since. Any solutions out there??? Class action??? Went to Florida and back rattling. I'm really appointed with GM.

Black window molding next to the rear window came loose and needed to be replaced. $70,000 for a vehicle and the trim pieces are held on with double faced tape and flimsy clips? GM should be ashamed at this cost cutting measure...especially on a "premium" vehicle.

I've had 2 of the window trim appliqué's come loose now on my 2015 GMC Yukon. The first one on the drivers door happened while it was under factory bumper to bumper warranty so it was a minor annoyance. The second one just happened on the passenger door at 41000 miles and cost me $250 at the dealership. I am VERY disappointed in GMC over this as i have Googled and noticed that is a common issue on many Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade models. I feel that this should be covered under a recall of some sort or at LEAST covered by the dealership as it is a common problem with my vehicle. Both times i have taken my vehicle in to have this fixed the service department knew EXACTLY what problem i had before i even finished explaining it. It turns out the glue that held the clips on the original parts was not sufficient and led to the clips coming loose and allowing the parts to seperate from the car body at highway speeds. This is VERY disappointing as i have tried my whole adult life to support American jobs and American car companies ONLY and THIS is the thanks i get. SHAME on GM/GMC and my local dealer for not taking care of this manufacturing defect that in no way shape or form did i cause.

Loose body parts around the windows on the door flapping in the wind, creating wind noise in the interior, catching dirt, moisture, and distorting the rubber seals in the doors. If they bust loose and fly of the vehicle will they cause a accident? Reported these to the local dealer where I bought the vehicle as well as GM on line got the "we haven't come up with a solution story for the last 4 months". I am a business owner and if I made my customers wait for a repair for 4 months I would expect them to move on.

The trim/paneling between the front and back doors on both sides of the vehicle would flap in the wind and were loose and rattled when driving on highway. The clips that held the paneling in place had broken off through normal wear and tear. Not sure why they broke, only guess that they were not strong enough and poorly designed/engineered. I have recently put silicon into the grooves and it seems to be holding for now. Don't buy GMCs since they refuse to stand by their product and they refuse to support their customers.
