Yukon XL Denali 6.2L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100,780 miles

This is extremely frustrating every transmission place including dealerships I have called say they are more than a month out to replace the transmission and the parts for this particular transmission are not available currently due to a class action lawsuit. No rental cars are avaliable so I am stuck without a car. What a luxury to have an SUV to hold all my kids that doesnt work! I am so beyond frustrated, I have been quoted $7500-$8000 for this repair! Thanks GM!!!!!

Yukon XL 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 123,000 miles

GMC Transmission Failed with shudder at 124,000 miles after I had done always dealer recommended services and dealer maintenance only. These vehicles were supposed to be tough, and I HAVE BABIED IT SINCE BUYING IT NEW. Never towed anything, only taking family members and luggage. Never hard on the gas. The only solution was to replace the transmission with a crate transmission with a dealer certified 100,000 mile warranty.

I found out there is a class action against GM for these transmission failures. After going back through forums I have experienced EVERY SINGLE DEFECT ON THIS VEHICLE from AC failure, brake booster failure, brake light failure all at expense to me. I will NEVER BUY ANOTHER GM VEHICLE AGAIN.

Yukon Denali 8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 31,000 miles

This vehicle has been in the shop 6 times for the same problem. The entire vehicle shakes because something isn't right. GMC acknowledges the problem, as they state all 2015's manufactured from 6/2014 - 1/2015 have the same issue. They have replaced the torque converter, the fluid in the transmission, and a list of other things that I do not recall. The car vibrates so hard that it feel like I am constantly driving on the "wake up" bumps on the side of the interstate. GMC needs to step up and truly correct this problem!!!!

Yukon SLE 5.3L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 500 miles

From day one our transmission has shifted awfully and there is excessive drivetrain vibration that is separate from the vibration that occurs in V4 mode. My dealer has washed their hands with this issue and they have grouped it into the Chevy Shake category and said they can't fix it. The regional GMC rep has also said they can't fix it but it is acceptable to them. Well, how kind of them to tell me that the things wrong with my car is acceptable. It is not and never will be.

Yukon

  • Automatic transmission
  • 19,000 miles

When driving and you're not accelerating, it starts to run really rough, vibrating, bogged down kind of feeling. It seems to be when you're going 25-30 mph, but if you give it gas it switches up a gear and it stops. We took it to the dealership and they said that GMC knows about this problem and is working on a solution, it has to do with the electronic system??? Told us to keep checking back with them to see if there is a fix. One mechanic said he found that if you put it in towing mode it stops. This is true, but I can't drive around in tow mode all of the time.

Very disappointed in this car. I love the look of these SUV's but the great look seems to come with a lot of problems.

Yukon

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

2015 Yukon has a low frequency vibration in high gear between 35-50 MPH when traveling in V4 mode on level ground.

Dealer reports numerous identical complaints for same vehicle. GMC has no fix at this time.
