Tail lights went out. Lifters have been replaced TWICE! While stopped at red light, at take off the vehicles lunges forward. At low speed the vehicle will down shift on it-??s own. 80k miles Recently while headed to work, the torque converter went out. 126k This is suppose to be a luxury vehicle and cost entirely to much to be a POS. I honestly thought I had a lemon but it seems to be a reoccurring issue in the entire fleet.

Tranny failed at 92k miles even though properly maintained. Since new tranny installed by dealer (out of pocket cost) had to return due to tranny slipping into neutral when driving highway speeds and taking foot off gas. Dealer performed TCM and ECM flash updates. Cost out of pocket for programming. Issue came back less than 2000 miles later

Tail Brake Light failure The tail brake lights have gone out on a vehicle that isn't 10 years old yet. Tail lights should not go out this quickly and the dealership will kindly replace them at $1300 per tail light. This is absolutely absurd! It is available for inspection. This definitely puts myself and others at risk! Yes, this problem has been confirmed and inspected by a GMC dealer. Advised this is a very common problem with this vehicle. There are no warning lamps or messages to alert when the brake lights have gone out. Instrument Cluster failure The instrument cluster is also faulty in this truck. This is the 2nd time within a year that i have had issues with this. Safety concern is that you will not know if the vehicle is running hot because the gauges stop working. Also runs the battery down as the fan continues to run for about 10 minutes after the vehicle is turned off. Yes, the problem has been confirmed and inspected by a dealer. Advised that this is a very common problem with this vehicle. No, there are no warning lamps or messages to alert you of the problem. You just notice a different noise while driving, the gauges stop working and then when you turn it off, the fan continues to run.

The retractable side steps on the passenger side retracts while still getting into the vehicle. It almost catches the entire foot in the door. It-??s a safety hazard for my children and parents. It is currently an out of pocket expense and my vehicle has less than 55000 miles on it. It has happened multiple time including today.

2017 Yukon Denali manufactured in 2016. It requires the exact same repairs as the 2016 service bulletin N192291660. My Transmission wiring Harness must be replaced including the gasket and filter. The Global Safety Feild Investigation DCS5461 only included 2016 and not car manufactured in 2016 and labeled as 2017. I have the exact same error codes p0711. The Global Safety Field Investigation was issued in July 29, 2020.

First problem started back in May.. it-??s went downhill ever since. Hard shifting was happening. GM dealer said I needed a new transmission. Found out from local repair shop that I needed a torque converter ($600) multiple transmission fluid changes (apparently many issues for A Lot of people) changed that. Then had to change Valve Body & TCM. ($540) everything started working but not 100% did a full tune up having multiple misfires constantly then shuttering when idle. Also replaced ECM ($200+)After changing all spark plugs, wires, oil, etc. the AC was having issues had been having issues for months. Kept adding Freon had to replace AC Condenser (works great now, was told by repair shop that-??s also very common in these year models. Condensers are all weak in the same spot) just recently October 2022, my instrument cluster started going haywire. Gauges going off and on screens going blank. Had Alternator and battery tested both test fine. No loss of power but when hitting the start/stop vehicle would continue to run and lock and unlock when it wanted. Husband took the alternator out to have it tested again. They tested 3x 1st. Good, 2nd Error, 3rd Bad ( it was overcharging at 16.5V) replaced Alternator ($290) gauges still going haywire, like before it is only sometimes, when they do it-??s bad bad.. but I can also drive to town and back 20-30 miles and not the first issue. Just left GM with a new Battery Distribution Fuse Block ($153) because of course it can-??t just be a regular ($8-10) mega fuse, hopefully this will fix my issue. We pay too much money for this vehicle to have all of these issues & none be under warranty. I-??ve been having the TAILLIGHT ISSUES as well ever since I purchased the car in 2018. When I received the recall on the taillight it was 6 years up to 72,000 & of course my vehicle had 79k miles on it at that time so that-??s wasn-??t covered.

Brake light failure. Brake lights work inconsistently. Changing the bulb does not fix the problem. This is an electrical issue that has been reported by numerous owners. This is a safety hazard as the components have to be repaired by a technician which causes hundreds of dollars, per light. This is a defective product that should be recalled!!!

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Yukon. When the vehicle was started, the "safety assist system service" warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (tom kelley Buick/GMC, fort wayne, Indiana) where it was diagnosed that the sensor failed and was not covered under warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and did not offer any assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 900.
