My car is a GMC Captiva. After they replaced my engine at $5,000+, I found out a year later that my engine is the same engine as the Equinox cars. And they too had/have the same problem. My son just received a letter a month ago about his GMC Terrain. And that they are recalling them.
If there is a problem with the engine using too much oil. His is fine so far. But it’s after you hit 100,000. I’ve read where they are several Captiva 2012s on that have had my same issue yet no one is covering any Captivas.
I want some answers and my money back for a new engine that is the same engine as the Terrain and the Equinox. My dealer even told me the Captiva has the same engine. They are not making the Captiva anymore. But many of us still have them and their problems.
