I am the original owner of the vehicle. Paint began peeling on hood and driver side fender of vehicle a few months ago. It started as small spot peel, then kept peeling as the days went on. Brought vehicle to dealer today, (7/28/2025) and was told that since it is now over 3 years old, but less than 5 (and under 60K miles) dealer will need to address with Genesis mfr to determine whether they will cover the defects under warranty. The peeling was not initiated by flying debris, normal washing or waxing of the vehicle as far as I can determine. It is peeling off like an onion. I've never experienced paint defects like this in 60+ years of vehicle ownership. Hopefully, the mfr will make it right.
Genesis needs to do what right and fix this issue! My GV80 is only 4 years old and paid well over 60K new, I'm the original owner and now it looks like cheap garbage and will never be worth anything with cheap paint!
