Concerning the iginition switch recall on Honda vehicles - why should consumers be made to pay almost one hundred dollars to have an alarm system rewired for the vehicle"?" the recall was not the fault of the consumer, and Honda dealerships are charging exorbitant prices to have the alarm system rewired. Even if the alarm is not a Honda part, the 1997 model did not come with an alarm, so obviously one had to be bought, and if the Honda has to remove the wires because of their recall, then there should be no reason to have to pay such high fees to have those wires replaced.
