Accord V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 105,000 miles

My transmission started giving me problems around 90,000 miles. The only way I can describe the problem is to say when I am driving, if the car were a stick I would have to shift, but with my car it shudders, and then shoots forward. Since I have an automatic it should shift automatically. It has gotten significantly worse. It only used to have a problem when I started the car, now even if I have been driving 30 min. it still does it. I took it to a transmission specialist, and they could not spot the prob., they said they would have to take it apart, and probably build a new one. This seems extreme for a car that is only 8 years old.
