When temperature reaches under 32F, first thing in the morning, the car was warmed up, and after driving 1/2 mile, the car shut-down and won't restart. Problem was found to be the fuel pump, according to the mechanic, he has known of at least 20 Accord from the same model 98-02, with similar problems, and it all was traced to the same manufacturer who made the fuel pumps.

This problem seems far too common with Honda. Will think twice about ever buying one again. Had 1980 Honda that stalled at red lights but car so old -about 140,000 mile that I just traded it in.

My primary concern is the engine trouble with my 1999 Accord. When I need to accelerate the car "misfires" according to the gresham Honda dealership. This is where the car is being serviced. At times the acceleration sticks at both 2-3rpms. Basically, there is no acceleration. The check engine light no longer comes on when the car hesitates. The first two times that the car was taken to the Honda dealership the check light did come on. My car is currently on it's 5th stay with Honda. They(Honda and their technicians) seem to have no idea what the problem was. Hopefully the problem will be resolved easily and most importantly, quickly. I'd hate to be the cause of an accident. Equally as important, I have had a failure with my ABS. While there was no accident, I barely stopped at the intersection while brakes locked up on pavement. I have had passengers in my vehicle on such occasions and each would be willing to give tesimonies to such failures as listed above. In fact, the Honda technician has also experienced the "misfire" first hand in my Accord.
