I bought the car about a month ago from my neighbor. He sold it for 900 bucks and everything seemed well until a few weeks ago. I brought the car in for an oil change. When he was done he told me that the sub-frame on the passenger side was rotted out and was hanging on by a thread. He told me it was unsafe to drive and said that if I continue driving it, the suspension could collapse. The repair would be about 1200 dollars. That's 300 dollars more then what I paid for my car, so I said I'll save up until I can afford to get it fixed. So now the car is in my driveway with a cover on it and the battery disconnected. I have to walk all the way to work cuz I have no transportation. In the meantime I'll save up and pay the repair out of pocket.

Hyundai and Isuzu have recalled cars for identical issue. AC drain hose routed so that it drips water on rf subframe causing extensive perforation. A very common Accord issue especially in salt states; has been reported to NHSTA;encourage all owners to report.
