Consumer applied the brakes and pedal went to the floor. A loud noise was heard coming from the front. Consumer took the vehicle to the dealer for inspection, and mechanic determined that the brakes pads and rotors needed to be replaced.

While applying the brake pedal, the vehicle failed to stop completely. The driver was able to maintain control of the vehicle and drove it to the dealer for inspection. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the problem at this time.

Vehicle experienced premature wear of rear brake pads. The consumer was informed by a highly reputable Honda Agency that Honda does have brake problems because of an inadequate rear brake system which probably prematurely wears out the rear brake pads. When the consumer confronted another service technician with this information, he stated, "well, we do replace a lot of them." Consumer felt the problem should have been disclosed before he purchased the vehicle.
