Along with my failed transmission and SRS light coming on, I have also had my check engine light and TCS indicator come on. My local dealership have been able to reset these at no cost due to extended warranty/recall. It is a bit concerning that I have had so many issues with this particular Accord with so few miles on it. My last accord had 235,000 miles on it before it was totalled and still running strong!!! What is wrong with this car? Did I buy a lemon?

refused NY state inspection because of check engine light. so took it to honda dealer, who said there is no problem with tranny (runs ok). and the code p1705 may be due to installed alarm -Lo jack. but i did not have any problem with lo jack since 5 years???. Dealer reset check engine and said if it comes back to bring it in. Anyone know anything about p1705??

I purchased this Honda used 2001 Honda Accord EX 2 months ago at Honda dealer in AL , now the CHECK ENGINE light has come on and stayed on. I just got a used Owners manual and found out it could be that the gas cap might not have been tight and I tighted. So I have to wait til 3 driving trips to see if it goes off. Thats what manual suggests first. Then its off to Honda dealer to see if computer says needs new catalytic converter which i heard could likely be inaccurate diagnosis and m0re likely oxygen sensor. Also another prob. days after purchase SRS light started coming on and havent had that looked at either. I will update after checkup.
