Accord EX V6

  • 18,000 miles

All vibrations from the road are passed directly to the passengers inside the car. It appears that the Michelin MXV4 Energy Plus tires are not the correct tire for this car, and/or the suspension is not sufficient to handle the weight of the V6 on the front tires. Sidewalls on the stock Michelins are much too soft and flexible causing very poor handling and response characteristics. The treadwear is rated at 420 which means the rubber contacting the road is very hard. To make up for this, Michelin made the sidewalls soft and flexible. As a result, poor handling in curves, a bumpy or bouncy ride, soft power steering response, and shimmying in the back end as the tires flex due to wind or sudden turns. A potentially hazardous condition. I am addressing this with Michelin as we speak.
