My transmission began to slip one day. Before I got home my Honda wouldn't take off from traffic lights so me and my buddy had to push it off the main road! I pulled out the dipstick on my transmission and it was filled with coolant! Oil cooler failed and I had coolant entering my transmission for days or maybe even weeks!

At the same time transmission fluid was entering my cooling system. It took me days to flush the whole cooling system (additionally oil destroyed all rubber gaskets and hoses in the system) + transmission...

I pulled out the dipstick on my transmission and it was filled with coolant! Oil cooler failed and I had coolant entering my transmission for days or maybe even weeks! Fortunately after manually draining and refilling over 5 gallons of fluid it's clean and car shifts smooth. I bypassed oil cooler for now but will have to replace it sooner or later...
