The maintenance required light came on. Checked oil. Bone dry (no reading on dip stick). Put several quarts of oil in car. Took to repair shop. Notified that as Honda engines are aging, known issue that their burning oil like crazy. Previously: Maintained oil changes at 3,000 miles and ALL suggested Honda maintenance "check-ups".

My 2005, V6 Honda Accord coupe, second one I have owned, is burning up oil like crazy. Every 1000 miles, just like all the others', I need to add a quart. I'm done, and I am exhausted. I was going to buy the same car again, but after reading about this known Honda problem, I am going to give up and move along with life and try a different car. I am so very sorry but this car will be traded to a dealer.
