So I thought Honda's were supposed to run forever...Only 4.5 years / 63k miles and I need to spend $1200 on my front differential that was profusely bleeding transmission fluid.
Not Fantastic!

I will be driving down the road and when the car is about to shift it will delay and leave me hanging forward, then shift and throw me back to the seat. This is very annoying and i did have the transmission flushed and the guy that is usually straight to the point and honest kept looking around and mumbling,well.... umm.... its.... uhhh.... well just drive it now with the new tranny fluid and see how it does, if it doesnt work drive it a couple hundred miles and come back to have it changed again, do that about 5 times. thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard. 69.99 to change the tranny fluid x 5= 349.95! Yeah Right! I just bought the car certified used under 6 months ago. Also have had it in 8 times for a steering pull to the left which isnt fixed 249.99 dollars later. Not Very Happy! I will never buy a used honda, or any used car for that matter again.

I bought a 05 Honda accord used at its 45k miles. The car looks new both interior and exterior and seems well maintained. All the maintenance records are kept.
But after few hundred miles of driving(maybe after I got more familiar with this car), I started to notice a delay(slow down) while shifting gears. It seems to be 3 clear delay before getting to 40 mph. I checked the transmission fluid, it looks ok(both color and level) and according to the maintenance record, the transmission fluid was replaced at 30K which should be fine.(although the manual suggest replace at 60K even under extreme condition) And the service was done at the dealer using Honda ATF Z1.
It's quite annoying at this moment, not sure if this will lead to any worse.

Makes a metal grinding noise randomly at slow speeds, and hesitates or searches for gears between 15-35mph, definitely not a smooth ride. Also feel a vibration throughout the floorboard. This is the first Honda I have owned and will probably be the last. I have heard that Honda's were good for a few hundred thousand miles if taken care of, obviously I was mistaken. Have not gotten final figures yet.
