This is the second time this has happened to this car. The first time was about 6 months after I bought the car on September 15th, 2005. I thought it was possibly some kids throwing rocks from an overpass, but that was just a theory. This time I was driving in a school zone going 30 km/h and it all of a sudden just shattered. Heard a loud sound and saw glass out of my back windshield.
It was freezing rain both times this happened. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.
Honda Canada is of no help as I have no authorized Honda Dealerships in my catchment area. Last time warranty service needed to be done I had to just pay for it myself instead of driving 1300+ km to the nearest Certified Honda Dealership. So this is a gripe both at the cars moonroof and at Honda Canada's unwillingness to be helpful to customers who do not live in a city with a Dealership.
Next car I buy will not have a sun/moon roof... nor will it be a Honda or Acura.
