This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
We noticed the white debris from the heating and cooling system after our first oil change last year. I have to wipe the dash down once a week because if it builds up too much I start to feel itchy when I get in the car. When the lease is up, I'm dropping the keys off. I miss my 2006 Accord, should have never traded it in.

I have the same white particulate debris coming out of my A/C vents. Dealer said it was pollen. There is no pollen in winter. Charged me $80 to put new filters in. Did not fix anything. I also have the staggering brake wear out problem (different thread on carcomplains - please look for it! It is the #1 complaint of the last 90 days.)
I have notified the BBB and am calling the Honda number to complain 1-800-999-1009. Suggest you all do same. Don't let them off the phone until you have a case number.

I was told the problem was pollen- but it is not pollen. It is too granular almost like sand. It is all over the interior of the car.

After my vehicle reached about 6 months old I started having very tiny white particles coming out of my ac vents. It is very bad after it has been sitting over night. I took it to the dealership, but no solution. They initially tried to tell me that it's condensation I'm seeing; that's not what it is. This stuff gets all over my interior and on me. I have to lint roll it off.

I have had my car for about 6 months. It is getting really hot here in AZ and I am using my AC a lot lately. I actually started using it even more since MAY. Well since then I notice everytime I turn on my AC small white debri comes out of the vents. It's so bad, that if I wear black pants of shirt, I have to use a lint roller to take them off. Also my interior is charcoal and there is little white things all over the place. The dealership is going to be looking at my car. This is one of maybe 7 issues I have with my 08 Accord Coupe.

I purchased my 08 in Nov. 07 and was so excited after hearing so many good things about Honda. My joy was short lived. Within weeks it started making a popping sound. It was the rear fender not being attached properly and was repaired under warranty. OK no biggie. Then funky white junk started coming from the vents. Dealership removed dashboard and could not find any problem. This crap is still coming out of the vents and I am just pretending it is snow. Whatever gets you through the day right? The power seat has been jerking since day one and was told they are supposed to have a solution this month. The rear brakes were replaced at 20,000 miles which is unacceptable. I have never had brakes wear out that fast. I was told it was the VSA causing the problem. WHATEVER !!!! Then there was the rattle at the rear speakers. Dealership replaced foam around rear dash and it is no longer a problem. CAN you believe it? Finally a problem successfully solved. Now this evil possessed piece of crap has cut off twice this week at stoplights. Two days later the wipers quit working during a heavy downpour. I pulled over cut off car, restarted and they began working again. Honda does not seem to care about any of the issues this car is having. I have owned 2 fords,1 Toyota, and 1 Mazda and never had issues like this. This will be my first and last Honda. I am going back to Toyota ASAP.
Update from Nov 18, 2009: Yesterday I traded in my 08 Headache at the local Toyota dealership. There were six 08 Accords on the used lot already. Evidence that people are tired of playing games with Honda. For those who still have their accords, I hope Honda will do the right thing and admit they made major mistakes with this car. Best of luck !!!!!!
