All the body seams on my 2008 Honda Accord are drastically misaligned or designed so that they don't match. The hood is about 1/2" to short, so that it looks like it is not latched. The car is white with a black gasket in the space between the hood and white grill, so it is even more noticed. I am constantly told by strangers my hood is not latched. The bottom portion of the doors are recessed about 1/2" behind the fenders and the panel under the doors. This results in dirty rain water from the road to be scupped into the door jambs. I have never had a car that I had to wash the door jambs when I washed the car. They stay black from the dirty water off the road. The top of the fenders at the trunk lid and rear glass is curved while the trunk is flat. The top of the fenders are about 3/4" higher than the trunk at the worst point. It looks like the trunk was intended for some other model. I had a body shop to look at it and they thought the car had been a total which had been poorly pieced or possibly spiced together. They claimed it was the worst they had ever seen. They could not believe Honda would let a car in this condition out of the factory. All the 2008, 2009, and 2010 Accords have this problem. Honda claims this meets their standards for tolerances. I believe the cars before 1970 had much better lines, at which were assembled by hand. Now they are assembled by robots, at which is very precise. Look at other make and models in any price range, they are very precise. Is this a sign of the quality of the rest of the car, that we can not see?
