This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
My passengers riding with me or on the phone will mention to me that it sounds like I have a window down or open. I tell them I don't but you can hear sounds from the outside like the window is rolled down. 2008 Honda's are not air tight. These vehicle were rushed through the assembly line. A piece of crap!!!

Whenever car goes over 50 MPH the wind starts howling and it gets much worse the faster you go until you have to blast the radio to drown out the noise. I brought it to East Coast Honda here in Myrtle Beach and nothing they could do. I have a 2002 Chevy Impala with 167,000 and it is quiet as a mouse right up to 80 MPH. Of course Honda Salesman says Chevy is junk. Well I don't agree with that!!!!

We ordered our car back in 2008. When it arrived, we did our pre-deliv. inspection. The rubber gasket on the car frame for the rear passenger side door was pulled away in the bend. Dealer said it was likely due to a hasty build at the plant. Dealer removed & re-installed. Thought nothing more of it - till now!
Noticed wind and wind noise on the driver's side. Gasket was coming off car frame. Dealer tech noticed right away and confirmed problem with road test. Tech "stretched" gasket as a temp solution. New gasket ordered on warranty. Hope this does the trick !!

glove box, rear speaker deck, front dash all squeak, rattle - no fixes just the usual Honda sympathy from dealers. Interior cloth gets dirty easily and looks like a ragged kids toy.
This is quality?!

When car is driven over the smallest of bumps-the glove box rattles. Dealer added a felt pad that was quite conspicuous and didn't help much. Also, the alignment on right hand side of glove box is off--the door sticks out an extra 1/2 inch or so. What happened to Japanese engineering?

Test drive didn't really reveal the road noise. We travel several highways at 45+mph. It is difficult to hear each other talk. Road noise also interferes with the Bluetooth transmission and causes modulation to break-up. Talked to Honda dealership--no help. Talked to Honda Corporate -- no help. Asked if they would put a different set of tires on car and was told no. LAST HONDA FOR ME!!! My Camry has a superbly quite ride -- like being in a Cadillac.

When I went back to the dealership for my first oil change. I commented on how noisy the inside of the car with the window up. The sales guy said, "I know it's bad. Everyone says that. I just turned the radio up when I'm driving so that I don't have to hear it."
Honda went cheap on the rubber gaskets. Universal issue. Honda needs to correct.

so after the stereo button squeaking, the speakers rattling, and the sunroof leaking we constantly heard this rattling noise. it sounded like it was coming from the rear right passenger handle so we went to the dealer they basically just greased it and called it fixed then when we left the dealer there was the noise again so we went right back they sent out for a new handle and replaced the whole thing so bout a day later there was the noise AGAIN!! at this point we called the 800# and they said to get a second opinion so we went to another Honda dealer to just look at it to see if they could figure it out they immediately said that it was in the roof and they would need to take the whole interior ceiling off and take a look so we went to our dealer and they found out that it was in the roof.....it was a loose cable making that noise!! so after the dealer dirtied our ceiling and didn't tuck in the ceiling all the way in and put the rear interior light on wrong we heard a a rattling noise from the front and drivers side passenger door they had no clue where it was coming from how is a BRAND NEW CAR going to be givin me all this BS!! GRRRR

I rent it a Honda Accord 2008 with the intentions of purchasing one, after driving and testing it and finding out all the different problems, I changed my mind.
I was a happy owner of a 1990 Honda Accord that I purchased back in 1990, I owned the vehicle for 18 years, I recently sold it, which I regret...
Obviously quality is not there no more, this is not the only Website that I checked, there are other ones reporting similar and more problems for this Model, thanks to this Website and others, this has been a wake up call for me.
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to express my disappointment with HONDA.

The wind noise on my 2008 EX-L V6 starts around 55-60 mph and gets worse from there. My local Honda dealer test drove the car and noticed it also; yet they seem to have no notices from Honda addressing the problem. I cannot believe that Honda would have put out a product with such an issue. Where was your car assembled could be the answer... I have read that certain Honda Accords had door alignment issues that lead to wind entering the cabin - perhaps this could be the case here?

Noise level fluctuates with road surfaces and speed .Extremely annoying!!! Dealer claimed a new set of tires from a new vehicle were installed which did not help(probably same manufacture and type),originals reinstalled.I've owned many different types of vehicles over the years and never experienced this type of problem which the dealer says I have to live with. My first and last Honda!!!

i had a whistling wind noise on the driver's side door near the window when i got over about 60 mph. it sounded like the window was cracked open a bit. the dealer tightened a couple of screws on the inside of the driver's side door to secure the black decorative piece on the outside of the door a bit better. it seemed to work. i also have a rattle in the dash near the glove compartment or passenger's side airbag. the car is too new for this crap. any suggestions?

We bought the car new from Honda... Already has some wind noise as expected. But when the car went over 40 mph, you could hear it as if a window were cracked. The noise was coming from the front of the car. Center front dash area. We really noticed when the recirculating button was engaged. Air could be on or off; didn't matter. We took the car in and Honda did a trouble shoot... Found that the foam seal between the front windshield and dash area was not shimmied correctly. So they repaired and the noise has subsided. I hope this helps with other similar complaints. I am posting since there were similar issues with other Accord owners...

Great car with some HUGE issues. 1) Interior Noise VERY POOR for this level of vehicle. 2) Wind Noise is prominent on the passenger side with a high pitched whistle sound. 3)on cold mornings, there are clicks around the glove compartment/airbag when I hit a bump at speeds from 10-50 mph. When it gets warmer out or the car warms up - it goes away. It sounds to me like something near the airbag sensor or deployment unit?

I just got new 2008 honda accord, Ex-L V6. When driving around 45mile+, I hear wind noise through the driver's door.My car has just been a week since I got. when I open the moon roof on the freeway, the noise is almost killing my ears. It really bothers me. I do not know what the problem is. Honda just took my car back to find out the problem. there is no way to fix it. this is my third honda accord. I am very disappointed in Honda accord.

I'm going to see if anything can be done. It happens more on the driver's side, I believe, and kicks in around 60 MPH.
- mrmosconi, San Diego, CA, US
While driving at 45+ MPH there is an excessive wind noise coming from side of the car near the drivers door pilar. It also happens on the passenger side. Honda checked and said it is coming from the door handles and that there is no fix for it. Again I am disappointed with Honda for turning their back on this issue. I fell they dont want to deal with it because it is negative news on the release of their pride and joy the 2008 Accord.

Didn't have much to compare it to, but wow this is a loud vehicle on the highway. Ruins any kind of refinement that they were going for.
