Accord EX I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,952 miles

At slow speeds you can regularly hear a knocking sound coming out the rear (passenger side) of car. I brought it to the dealership and two other mechanics. Nobody has been able to find the reason for the knocking.

Accord EXL V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 48,000 miles

Took car back with the same clunking noise on low speed and when braking, shortly after having all brake pad replaced, front and back and front rotors resurfaced Took vehicle back today but nothing comes up on the "diagnostics" and the techs "cannot duplicate" my complaints. The car does not clunk while it is cold, but after driving for a few miles, it begins to make the noises again. Today I was told about the problems with the brakes on the Accord, but there was NOTHING they could do for me. I was asked to pick up the car and drive it around, then one of their techs would ride along with me to try to figure out where the clunking was coming from. They expressed sympathy, that's all, but I'm $700 in the hole fixing problems from the factory, not covered by any warranty, and still the problem remains unfixed.

While driving my 2008 Honda Accord I heard this loud screeching sound coming from the rear tires like the car had hit bottom. I immediately called the Honda Service Department wher I regularly service my vehicle and I was advised I needed new break pads...They never told me about the current premature break wear they are currently experiencing with the 2008 Accord. I had to pay $250.00 to fix the problem. I want them to reimbursement for part of the repairs.

Accord EXL V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 6,000 miles

The 2008 Honda Accord EXL V6 has a problem with the brakes. It occasionally has this annoying scraping, knocking, irritating bumping under the brake pedal. It only occurs while slowly braking. Reported it to the car dealership and each time they have checked and say the brakes are just fine. Well recently we had a lot of snow and the roads were extremely wet and mushy and these weather conditions seem to really aggravate the brake condition because the brakes where doing this all several times in one day and i was afraid the car was not going to stop.

Accord LX 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 16,003 miles

I was with Mercedes-Benz for 10 years as a sales consultant and when I visited Honda store in a long time-I had 89 Honda Accord it really gave me different feeling of non high-line vehicle dealer operation.

I had a 3 different issues-a remote, a Driver's seat and rear brake. When I spoke to service advisor, he knew all these issues as "known problems" and there is no fix for it. The Tech and him told me that I needed rear brake pads and the sensor is the one making noise. I told him that I can see the pads on both side and they look still good and they replied that maybe it is the inner pads that went bad. They said they have special sale on that service and it will be $159 which was reasonable if I really needed the service!!! The seat is also known to have a problem and Honda America has not address the issue. They had replaced few cars seat rails but few month later the problem came back. They were telling me that it would be wast time. The remote in ALSO a known issue??? They've seen a few keys with a bad contact. So basically, I went there for NOTHING.

I know I didn't paid $60,000 like I have for my E350 to get the a good service and respect but the BS I got from Honda was worth about the same as I paid for my Honda.
