Accord EX-L 2.4L 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 165,000 miles

One day, the car didn't start. I guessed it was the starter, but because it was such a pain to get to the starter, I got a mechanic to test it for for $120. They confirmed the starter was the issue and wanted $600 for the fix. I did it myself for about $200 for the part. It was a pain getting to the starter, but not too bad of a job. Took about 2-3 hours.

i JUST bought this car 2 weeks ago, after my house and car burned down. Just what I needed! The car wouldn't start, had to have it towed and it will take a week to get the part. Thank God I have the extended warranty, but now I am in a rental, which is costing about $100 + the deductible on the warranty + the tow! OMG!
