Accord EX-L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 51,196 miles

Honda claims that my engine air filter needs to be replaced at a cost $54.52 plus tax. I am actually not certain how early is too early to replace the engine air filter. However, given all the other issues that I'm having with this car, it is just one more problem that is not covered under warranty.

Accord LX V6 V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 8,000 miles

After only 8,000 miles and 8 months owning my Honda Accord, the car's air filters needed to be replaced. They looked so black I questioned how in the world my air filters could be so bad and need replacement after so little time driving my car. My last car did not need this type of replacement for years into driving. T

The Poway dealership told me that I must be driving in areas with really dirty air!!! The air filter, that the mechanic at the dealership showed me was so BLACK that I would have had to drive for days in a smoke strom.

I am posting this complaint because my air filter is NOT covered in my Honda 3 year warranty, which SUCKS!! I am wondering if my Poway, CA dealership is just ripping off people like me.

I would like to know if any other Honda Accord LX V6 car owners have had to replace the air filter within the first year of driving.

I have already posted my brake replacement issue with my new Honda and I feel like this Honda is a piece of new JUNK. I just donated, my Infiniti M30, which ran GREAT for 17 years and then it started nickel and diming me, but hey it had 260, 000 miles so I expected things to wear out BUT this NEW Honda is a piece of garbage!!! I will be selling it soon because it just seems to be a money pit.
