Well I'm really not sure of this is a problem with the engine or if it's mechanical at all. Basically after starting the car it stalls out. It starts again, the RPMs jump all over the place, the "D" indicator on the dash blinks and it stalls again. So, according to some other posts I read, typically a flashing "D" light means it's a tranny problem or some drivetrain issue. No clear explanations of this to be found online. Of course this happened the one time I take the car out of the city and get stranded in Macomb Illinois, 4 hours west of Chicago. I take an Amtrak back and tomorrow I have to have my girlfriend who is in Macomb for school take time off to wait for a tow truck so that it could be towed to a neighboring town with a Honda dealer. EXTREMELY bad timing, very INCONVENIENT. I don't know what the problem is yet but I'll keep this board updated. Anyone with the same problem please contact me. The car is a 2008 Honda Accord V6 with an auto tranny. Babied since new, never driven hard, no accidents, spotless!! By the way I also owned a 2001 Civic LX auto that threw the tranny at 120k. Honda didn't want to fix it even though they acknowledged they know it's a bad tranny. Look the car up on this site, YOU WON'T BELIEVE IT. I tell this story to anyone who will listen and everyone claims it's just me and I have bad luck but I'm beginning to suspect that Honda is just CRAP. Utter garbage disguised by their reputation of cars they built from the 70s till the 90s which really were great. I never thought I'd say this but when it comes to Asian "economy" sedans, my next stop is Hyundai, Kia, Toyota...don't be fooled by Honda.

This is the 3rd time I've had my car in for repair! I have had it towed twice now to the dealership! Of course, once again, they can't get it to repeat the problem! I tell them I absolutely will not take the car back until they do SOMETHING! They take a guess and replace the fuel pump and relay. I get my car back two days later and pray that fixes it. It doesn't though and 3 days later it's towed in again because it won't start at all!

I am appaled that Honda cannot figure out what is wrong with my car. The reason I chose a Honda is because of the great reliability ratings and customer satisfaction ratings! I'm so frustrated and angry! I basically have a car that was less than a year old that kept stalling out on me. Of course, when I got it to the dealer it started up every time and wouldn't stall out. Their answer -- if it doesn't duplicate the action, we can't diagnosis it! I took my car home and waited for it to happen again -- and it has -- three more times now!

poor design that resulted with breakdown of parts, car stalls , unable to startup, loss of power accelaration, toxic smell in the car, break pad problem, honda customer relations claims, it is delear issue, and dealer claims, it is honda customer relations problems, as they could not replicate the problem, sometimes the vehichle had to be left in the delearshop, for a week or longer . for them to figure out what is the issue, bad, customer serviice, with bad quaility products, which unskilled workers(not sure it is intended forto rip off customer, so to charge customer for deffective parts sold). i must say when buying initially, they are in good customer service, once car is sold, all in worst category
