So, I have had some of the problems that have been an issue with this car. Had the VTC actuator replaced, and at about 2500RPM's I started hearing a ticking noise coming from the engine when I would do load bearing accelerations(in gear, not idle). I took this into the dealership and they of course could not recreate it, so I had to do it for them. The tech heard the noise but had no idea what was causing it. After about 2 hours, the guy came to me and said there was news about the "Solonoid Vtech" part making a noise around the 2500rpm mark. He said it would not be damaging to the engine, but that it would just be annoying. Plus, the guy said it was not a part covered under warranty, even though my car still has the powertrain warranty for another year and 3 months. I told the tech guys that I would be contacting honda on this issue because a $650 quote for a very new car is ridiculous and the fact that it wasn't covered under warranty was even greater BS.

So, contacting Honda, they came up with the part WAS/IS covered under warranty, the Tech just didn't put the part in the computer correctly. Yikes!! I mean really!?!? In the end, I've got an appointment tomorrow to get the part replaced, and hopefully the ticking sound gone. If you have this problem, be persistent with the dealer, just like the VTC actuator problem. They know of it, but are not acknowledging it and if i didn't do my research, i would be out $650. Come on honda, pull your heads out of your asses!!
