Accord LX 2.4L 4 cylider

I own a 2008 Honda Accord 2.4ltre. I have driven may brands of vehicle in 45+ year s of driving. This car is the only one I have driven that does not coast along the highway when you take your foot of the gas pedal. It wants to slow down and stop. Unless in Cruise it automatically slows down.

Is it a safety feature, I am guessing NOT. If I want to coast down a hill to save gas it fights against coasting.
