Low tire pressure light on dashboard stays lit constantly (years!); even after brand new, properly inflated tires are installed. On Florida turnpike Friday 7/27/18 very fortunate that tire made noise so I pulled over, as tire inside sidewalls rubber was disintegrated/gone with steel threads showing! TPMS dash light is known defect to Honda; but they want to charge $90 to tell you that! I'm extremely lucky to not be in hospital or morgue today!

The TPMS light on the cluster panel turns on at highway speeds. I've routinely checked the tire pressure for past three months on cold mornings and warm tires. The TPMS light turns off on it own after an hour of highway driving or once you switch the engine off (it doesn't come back on until you drive at highway speeds again for at least 30-60 minutes).

Vsa brakeand ABS light comes on after engine has warmed up. Honda dealor has dtc 122-01 vsa selenoid valve malfunction cost for this defect in the vsa light per written estimate is $1639. This is a safety highway hazard. Contacted Honda corporation customer service case# 04375940 and know one has know knowledge of the safety concern and fail to fixed and pay for this saftey highway safety need. Refuses to have a supervisor contact me to discuss the class action powertrain covered til 6-2016 service bulletin 13-078. My car will not increase in speed stalls at 55 mph on high speed and speed limit on highway is 70 mph and can received a ticket for driving under speed limited that can cause a accident on the highways.

First incident was on 6/14/2015. I was driving on the highway as my engine light came on and the car started shaking. I pulled over and turned the car off because it smelled like smoke. As I tried to turn the vehicle back on it would not cut back on. The car had to get towed and repairs had to be done to the tune of $1,500. The battery, gasket, plugs & alternator had to be replaced. Second incident was on 7/17/2015. As I was making a left hand turn the car stalled & I was hit by another vehicle. All air bags deployed and burst. The right front wheel was pushed in.

I purchased new tires about a year ago. Tires had less than 30,000 on them. Back tires still had 90% tread but getting a vibration. Took car to the body shop and was told that the rear end of my vehicle was badly out of alignment.. I could see it with my naked eyes. The problem is that the rear tires can not be aligned. There is no way to adjust the camber on the back tires, so no matter what you will always have vibration and alway unevenly where your tires. Only way I can see to fix this, is to install adjustable cambers, but if this is a desig flaw and Honda already acknowledged it with a service bulletin addressing there Honda civics, then why should I have to pay for the fix. I am totally disgusted with Honda.

Both wheel bearings required replacement around 120K miles. Loud humming noises coming from the rear of the car. Changed out both hub assemblies and now it sounds quiet again. Seems a bit premature to have to change out the parts.

The contact owns a 2008 Honda Accord coupe. The contact stated that the wheel rim on the vehicle which was manufactured by Honda was defective. The manufacturer uses a clear coat on their wheel rims which causes water to enter underneath, which has caused corrosion. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer and could not diagnose the failure, but claims that the contact applied chrome cleaner to the wheel rim which may have caused the failure. The manufacturer was contacted and offered no assistance. He then took the vehicle to a tire company to inspect the wheel rim and they informed him that they were defective and should be replaced. The vehicle has not been repaired for the wheel rims. The failure and current mileage was approximately 6,350. Updated 3/8/11 the consumer stated no cleaners or chemicals have been used on the rims. The consumer believed there was a defect with the rims. Updated 08/08/11

Make : Honda model : Accord model year 2008 other essential information - I want to bring to your attention that the inside of the Honda alloy wheels are not sealed or painted from the factory. The wheel is already corroding the aluminum with pits with metal missing. After 2 more winters the salt on the roads will dangerously weaken the wheel strength leading to failure at speed. This is a real hidden danger that I thought should be looked into since Honda dealer sees no problem with the corroding aluminum. If the wheels where simply painted or clear coated from the factory on the inside like they are on the outside then this would not be become the hidden danger this type of wheel will present to the unsuspecting public.
