Noticed the paint peeling around the back window over the past several months. The paint started peeling away within the past month and I took it to body shop that I have used in the past. They recommended contacting Honda due to possible recall issues with the paint on similar models. I called Honda today and they told me there were no recalls for paint issues on this car. Anybody have a similar problem and/or a suggestion on where to go next? I was thinking of contacting their corporate HQ.

I went to 2 paint shops and both advised to call Honda because this is not normal wear for paint to flake off like it is. When they looked a bit more they found it peeling on top of the hood, and around the side also. The worst of it is on the roof just above the driver side door. Will call Honda direct tomorrow and see what they say, but i am not in any warranty now.

The paint is severely peeling on the roof of the car by the doors. The clear coat is also coming off on the body of the car. It is so bad that if not fixed right away it will rust.

A paint job on my Honda is definetely poor. If you touch the body you can scratch very easily the paint from the bodiy. I am careful owner so I think that the paint job is very poor done. Also I can find from the time when the car was new a spots of rust.

The paint started chipping off of my 2009 Honda Accord. I sent a letter to Honda North America with pictures of my car and was told to get a quote from the dealership. Accordingly, I received quotes from three different Honda dealerships. (1st quote: $1,300 to fix one area, 2nd quote: $2,400 to fix all three areas of car that are currently chipping, 3rd quote: $6,000 to paint whole car as I was told by the guy at Honda that the chipping would eventually spread through the entire exterior.) Honda came back and said they would only pay half of the 1st quote. However, at all three dealerships I was told it was a paint application error which occurred when the car was manufactured.
I do not think that I should have to PAY any of this. I have been a loyal Honda owner for more than 10 years. I am so UNHAPPY with the way I have been treated that I can guarantee it will be my last Honda. The lady I dealt with at Honda North America was very rude and of absolutely NO HELP. She even made the comment, "I would be very unhappy if I was in your position, but there is nothing we can do for you!" HONDA should be ASHAMED.....however, they clearly could give a damn about their consumers.

Chips of paint began flaking off of the car in the small trough around the rear windows. This quickly spread to the posts and roof of the car. Local Honda dealer took my issue seriously, documenting with photographs and my statement. They came good for a paint job on the affected part or the car to the tune of $2200. All was fine until 7 months later and now the paint is flaking off in large chunks on the trunk. Not at all happy,

6 months ago I noticed the white paint on my 2009 Honda Accord was peeling by my rear windshield. I have no idea how long it has been that way, considering I was not expecting a problem to be there. I was told it would cost $1,500 and Honda would only cover $750. After having to replace my rear brake pads due to manufacturer defect, paying $60-70 every time I get my oil changed to use synthetic oil, $300 for a recent check-up, and not to mention $800 on tires, it makes me sick to put anything else into the car that is another manufacturing issue. This is not from normal wear and tear.

I purchased this car new in 2009. The car has not been in a wreck. It has always been parked under a shelter except when I am at work. I work three days a week. The car only has 53,150 miles on it currently and the paint is peeling off like cheap fingernail polish. Can you help me with this???
Thank you!
