Accord LX 4 cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 9,000 miles

I own a 2009 Honda Accord LX. The tires wear very fast, needing to be replaced every 8-10K miles. The tire wear issue is always the same; they wear the inside edge off the driver side starting in the front. Over time a humming noise turns into a thumping noise and the wear becomes so severe that the tires on the passenger side are affected.

Honda claims the car is within alignment specs and if the issue persists it is b/c of "driver use."

I have owned 5 Accords and have never experienced an issue like this. A local independent shop looked at the car and has found that there is an issue with the suspension that causes the camber to be affected. There advice is to take it Honda but Honda claims the vehicle is fine.
