I was sold a 2010 Honda Accord last year and I have already had to replace the calipers, rotors, and pads on my rear brake assembly. I was then told by Honda America that these are 'wear' parts that they will not reimburse me for. I fully understand that brakes are wear parts but 'not at 20,000 miles'. if it is ok for Honda to sell braking systems that need this kind of attention so early in life, they should have to warn customers at the time of purchase.

2010 Honda Accord -- repair facility noted excessive wear to rear brake pads at 24,000 miles. 10% life remaining. Front brake at more than 50% remaining life. Independent repair facility stressed extreme concern with wear. Vehicle brought to Honda facility. Honda technician indicated that the wear was "normal" for this model vehicle. Attributed wear to "extreme driving conditions" even though I do not reside on a mountain or do excessive hard braking. Honda unwilling to address brake wear under warranty. I believe there to be a severe defect.

There is a class action settlement for the same issues but my VIN is not covered. I only replaced brakes 3 times over nearly 160,000 miles on the previous Accord that I owned. I have a 2010 4 door Honda Accord V6 ex. With only 28,000 miles on it and now my rear brakes squeak indicating worn bake pads. The rear brake pads should last around 70,000 miles. Unfortunately my car is not one of the few 2010 VIN #S covered by the Honda premature rear brake pads wear settlement even though I have the same exact problem. I hope there will be enough complaints about this problem to expand/extent to other 2010 Honda Accord affected by this problem but not covered by the settlement. Thanks

I had a periodic service check on my 2010 Honda Accord at 15299 miles, and was told I had 15% left on my rear brakes pads. However, I was also told my front brakes had 90% left. Speaking to the service representative, he said this was not unusual, each driver is different. He said my warranty for the brakes had expired. This much wear on rear brakes seems highly abnormal.

All other brake pads including the rear outer ones are 90% there however the rear inner pads are completely worn out. This seems to be a larger issue than just bad brake pads since all other pads are fine. I have very concerned this will cause insufficient breaking and damage to the vehicle itself.

The rear brakes of the vehicle, which should be first replaced at about 70,000 had to be replaced at 25,000 at a cost of about $175 due to a faulty design in tthat the brakes had excess ware because the braking mechanism didn't release as they should. The car is only one year old and most miles are highway miles with little braking. I do not ride the brake pedal and never have.

Rear brake pads were worn unevenly at 8,000 miles? inboard brake pads worn down to < 1 mm where the inboard pads were still at 3.5 mm costing $ 220 brake job. This was brought up to the poway californial Honda service advisor, service manager and service director who all stood by the initial response given "it's normal".
