  • 27,000 miles
I have a 2009 Honda Accord with 27,000 miles and at the dealer today they told me that I needed new brakes at a cost of over $500. I have always got over 50,000 miles from a set of brakes on all of the other cars and trucks that I have owned. I now find out that there has been a class action suit over the brakes on this car.

Accord

2009 Honda Accord was found by dealer to have "no rear brakes" today during a service visit. Per the dealer, Honda changed the brake proportioning for these vehicles so that on the highway, all of the braking is done by the rear wheels. As a result, the rear pads are worn to nothing per the dealer while the front pads are hardly worn at all.
