2010 honda accord ex 4 cyl. after purchasing i started noticing that if i had stopped with car in gear and just happen to turn the steering wheel a fraction the engine speed would go up. took it back to dealer had about 1500 miles on car. they checked car out and said that did not show a problem. took car back home and the problem got more consistent. car now had 4800 miles on it for oil change and again told dealer that the engine speeding up had gotten worse. again they said they would check it out. i had to get someone to pick it up for me. when i got back into car looked at the work sheet and there was no item showing that it had been checked so i went back to dealer and questioned them about it and again they said they could not get it to do it. i then told them to get in the car and start it and i would show them. sure enough when he started it and put it in gear and just barely moved steering wheel the rpms went up. he tried to tell me that was normal. i have had several other hondas and none of them have ever done that. he then got a mechanic who tried to convience me that was normal. now i ask you if you were slowing down to make a turn and you dont have your foot on the brake and the rpms go up which makes the car move forward by itself is safe.

i was told they would contact honda and call me back twice and i have yet to hear from them. i tried to go straight to honda online and cannot find anyway to contact them thru internet. i know that they had another 2010 accord with the same complaint. their reasoning was that when you turn the wheel and it puts a load on power steering pump is why it raises the rpms. as i said i have two other hondas and they do not do this. i feel this car is unsafe in current condition
