Occasionally, but not often, my car will lurch forward when brake is applied. If I am behind another car it can result in a minor dent to one or both vehicles. Engine sounds as if it is running fast. Remedy has been for me to immediately throw the car into neutral. Once at a complete stop, I can continue venturing out to my destination.
Earlier, in previous years when I experienced this problem, I brought my car into a reputable mechanic. He indicated that there is a section on the far left side of the floorboard that if obstructed or touched the problem could exist. I've removed the car mats and try to avoid that section of the floorboard like a plague.
Any other suggestions. Do any other 2010 Accord owners experience this problem.
