My daughter was driving her 2010 Honda Accord 2 Door Coup car when she said she heard a squealing noise and the steering wheel would not turn. Her car went off the road and crashed into a tree deploying the air bags. She and her passenger were transported to the hospital via ambulance and diagnosed with minor injuries.
I contacted a local Honda dealer and described the issue. He said it could be a power steering belt or a power pump failure. He also mentioned a failure of the power steering system could be a serious safety issue as the car would be very difficult to steer
