This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Honda dealer.
This car is a great vehicle other than the snapping noise when accelerating, braking, slow speed and highway speeds. Honda claims it is not a safety issue, of course it's not a safety issue until the ball joint assembly snaps and someone is killed in the car, and I don't want to be the one that makes it a safety issue. Of course Honda will not provide anything in writing that this is NOT a safety issue however they will verbally say that they are aware of the problem and working on a fix but it could take months to solve the problem, meanwhile drive the car and feel safe. The snapping noise is metal and very unnerving when operating the car, I am hesitant to operate the thing for fear the ball joint assembly will snap and I'll be dead someplace and only then will Honda say its a safety issue. I won't take the kids in the car or the dogs for simply this reason. Honda makes a good car they should step up to the plate and fix my car (preferably) or replace the damn thing. Of course its corporate BS all the time about how these thinks take time, bet you the CEO of Honda doesn't have this issue and if he did, he'd have a new car. This problem is not specific to just this car, its the 2010 and 2011 Accord models. Have yours checked out and listen for the snapping noise, you can't miss it, it sounds like something is going to fall off the car
