Started to notice that the transmission was slipping from a complete stop to whatever speed in the 1-2 gears. You step on the pedal and you hear the engine rev up and then about 1-2 seconds later you hear and feel the transmission catch and go. Like a gear is missing a "tooth". With 68k miles on the car and it's just outside of its powertrain warranty of course it starts to have powertrain problems.
Word of advice for any consumer. All manufactures test the reliability of all parts before going out to market. Point being is that we should always buy from companies that offer a 10yr/100k mile powertrain warranty. Then the powertrain will last at least to 100k miles. There are engineers out there that get paid loads of cash to figure out how to maximize profit and limit spending by not beefing up certain parts of a car. This is where we the consumer lose out. I would love to split trust one manufacture but they all seem to be perfectly happy selling us crap that is engineered to fail after the warranty.

Bought 2010 Accord for my daughter, car has hard time accelerating and a terrible sound going into reverse. Sounds like a lawnmower. Going to go to Honda today to see about my options.
Also have a 2010 Pilot having transmission problems. I know It's one complaint per car but thought two cars same year. Both transmission problems. Chug's switching from 2nd to 3rd . Will Follow up

CAR hesitates when accelerating or switching between gears for about 5 seconds and happens frequently

I love this car, I truly do. But my God, the ridiculous "CLUNK" this car makes when you shift into either drive, 2nd or 3rd is scary. The worst is when you're in traffic, and going about 10mph, and you ease off the acceleration to slow down; but then the transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd and you almost kiss the car in front of you. This car has great speed and power for a honda sedan, but you can't feel all 270 horses when your car takes an extra 4 seconds just to shift gears. If there is anyway to mitigate this issue with swapping transmission, this car would be a 9/10 at least.
