I saw another posting with someone having the same problem so i know that my vehicle is not the only one when i spoke to the dealer they said that they have not heard of this problem before. if two 2011 honda accords are having the same exact WEIRD problem Honda needs to alert their service departments.

I bought this Accord brand new in April 2011. In Oct 2011 after I parked at my job, turned off car, removed keys, the car doors automatically locked with me inside and alarm sounded. I could not unlock the doors per icon on door pad or by trying to use inside door handle--I am trapped inside and it was terrifying !!! Employees at my job even came out (due to alarm) and asked to help--I could not even roll down a window. I tried to reinsert the ignition keys and turn on car to roll down window or unlock doors--no success. I took our owners manual to look up problem--by now I am very scared--and was too nervous to find info. After approx 5-10 mins (I was late clocking into work due to this) the alarm just goes off by itself and doors unlock !!! It was a very scared experience being "trapped" inside your own vehicle. We had had heavy rain that night/day and I thought something electrical had gotten wet--so I did not get it checked out that day (A Saturday).

Yesterday 2-1-12 the exact same thing happened after I stopped at my bank to go inside. The same experience !! Doors locked after I removed key (with me inside) alarm goes off. Could not get out of the car until about 5 mins when the alarm quit and I was able to use the keypad on the door handle--so I immediately brought car into dealership.

I am not comfortable using this car again--wonder it I had had my grandchildren with me. Or if the car caught on fire for some electrical problem???? The dealership loaned me another car and are investigating--so I am waiting on their findings.
